Shetland Ewes
Shetland sheep are very hardy, good mothers, easy lambers and produce plenty of milk. The fat lambs make excellent eating and dress out well. Purebred Shetland meat is highly regarded on taste, but is slow to mature and wethers are often run through to shearlings.

Sheltering Pines Lale is the matriarch of the flock. She has a great personality and will bah whenever she sees us in hopes of attention or treats. She will follow you in the pasture much like a dog will :). She was one of
the sheep that her prior owners would take to farm fairs - she is very friendly. She produces wonderfully spotted lambs when bred to a ram carrying the spotted gene. Her fleece is not the finest but she was purchased to settle our flock and teach them some manners. She is a yuglet/fleckett pattern

Milehaus Franny Celeste follows Lale everywhere and is quite a pig with the treats. Her fleece is looking very nice and it appears she will have a fairly long, intermediate style of fleece. She shows a partial Hst pattern with medium moorit colouring.

Fibre Works Joan of arc
aka Mocha is extremely friendly and loves her crunchies. She has a longer wavy style fleece, still soft handling. Outside is dark brown, inside is a grey tone, what I would call shaela or emsket, depending on how dark it stays.

Fibre Works Jessup is a friendly girl and still has the best fleece of the group. It is apparent both by look and feel. It is a fine, fairly crimpy soft handling fleece. Medium grey with lots of lustre. I think it is one of the nicest of this year’s lamb crop. She shown the katmoget pattern.

Nier Lakes Umbria aka Buttercup the gul ewe is finally warming up to us. It has taken awhile but see recently started to take treats from us. Her fleece has a lovely hand in a very soft moorit colour -she likely carries Mm so offers modified genetics as well for future offspring. Her facial markings are also still visible.

High Country Ginner is beautifully marked girl. Her fleece has soft hand and is long and wavy. She will ensure that we have Lale's spotting in our flock.
